Winning without words

Market your message at all times. If necessary, use words!

Good marketers are wise weavers of words.

Great marketers don’t even need words.

Good marketers use their messaging to draw prospects to their brand.

Great marketers shine a light wherever their prospects are.

Case in point – McDonald’s Australia hit gold when it transformed the golden arches into moments that people live out every day.

Instead of a message that prospects had to be drawn to, they drew themselves into the lives of their prospects as shown in the GIF below.

Importantly, what they achieved was a unique messaging strategy because:

  1. No competitor can duplicate this effort given McDonald’s unique branding.
  2. McDonald’s changed the playing field by competing at the brand level instead of the product level.
  3. McDonald’s leveraged this campaign to reinforce and cash in on the timeless imprint of the golden arches in our lives.

Takeaway

When everyone shouts their message  loudly, don’t try to shout louder. Be quiet and dance your story into their lives. Use words only if necessary.

Less speech = Speechless. Let me know if you agree here.

Preach the Gospel at all times. If necessary, use words!
