Marketing ROI

We’re really obsessed with measuring and getting ROI.

In fact, the reason most brands don’t back their marketing plans is because they cannot see the ROI.

But then, can you really see the ROI behind the home insurance payments that you’ve been making for almost a decade without ever claiming it?

What about the car insurance that you pay every year and still keep paying, despite not having gotten a penny out of it?

Likewise, marketing is not always a measurable offering – like office expenses or an accounting provider – that offers clear, tangible, and measurable benefits.

Marketing is an investment so that you can benefit when you want to hire great people with lesser effort and sell more products at a lesser cost.

Takeaway

Measure not just ROI (Return on Investment), but also ROO (Return on Objective), and ROA (Return on Alternative). If you don’t market your brand, how expensive is your alternative?

Which of these measurement metrics do you have in place to measure your marketing? Do share!

Marketing is an investment, not a cost.
