Thank you

It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.

I recently received a few warm messages from our email subscribers and occasional LinkedIn readers about the Marketing Manna blog that we roll out every weekday.

They congratulated me for churning out carefully thought-out manna day in and day out.

I then realized that many people feel I’m doing all this by myself, which is hardly the truth.

In fact, the sole reason I’m able to write 250+ marketing manna a year is because I have a great squad that works like a well-oiled machine to make it happen.

I spend only 12 hours every week writing five manna for the week – all thanks to my awesome team who ensures each manna is wrapped and delivered.

This Thanksgiving, I want to thank our manna squad who deserve the actual applause for doing the following:

  • Creating the manna content hub on Notion
  • Maintaining and updating the content hub with the correct titles, URLs, and manna review document for the week
  • Formatting and editing manna for our blog, LinkedIn, and email
  • Searching for relevant quotes, images, and GIFs
  • Writing subject lines and preview lines for email subscribers
  • Setting up email automation for the month and daily emails for the week
  • Posting manna on our blog and LinkedIn
  • Doing a final QC on our blog, LinkedIn, and email
  • Writing and setting up the Saturday summary email
  • Reviewing the metrics to make suggestions and take decisions

I want to thank the squad comprising Dorothy Kikon, Robin Titus, Angelica Bose, Sharyl George, and Rachel Sam for doing this faithfully day in and day out.

Their contribution lets me focus on writing the manna and replying within 24 hours to responses from email subscribers.

Takeaway

Marketing is a team game. The real work happens under the iceberg. If you don’t have a squad you can trust, your marketing outcomes will sink, drown, and die.

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving!

Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.
