Date and time
Tue, Aug 04, 2020
How can you identify truly optimized marketers?
By how they communicate date and time!
All marketers worth their true salt know what matters most is character – both their inner character and how they use characters in copywriting.
There are many ways to write today’s date.
In the non-numeric format, the month can be written as Aug or August; the date as 04, 4, or 4th; and the year as 20 or 2020.
The optimized marketers often choose Aug 4, 2020 (or Aug 04, 2020) always allocating three characters for the month, two for the date, and four for the year.
There are many ways to write the time as well – 10, 10:00, or 10.00 – with additions such as am/pm, o’clock, and time-zone data.
The optimized marketers often choose the format – 10:00 am CDT – always allocating two characters for the hour and two for the minutes followed by a space and then am/pm, followed by another space and 3 characters for the time zone.
Why?
Because every character is precious.
Because the faster we can convey something clearly with fewer characters, the better!
Communication works for those who work at it.
