Obsessed over obsoletion

High-flying executives are touching down on ground reality.

Those who used to hop over the Atlantic Ocean in business class for a 2-hour meeting in Europe are now wondering why they never met on Zoom in the first place.

Some companies I know have given up their office lease and have completely gone remote, saving $25k every month. Twitter and others have decided to be remote forever.

Takeaway

  1. If we aren’t always obsessed about how we can make ourselves obsolete, someone else or something else will do it for us.
  2. Keep an aggressive eye out for what you can nail, and open your creative mind to see where you can scale.
