That resort with the 19mph speed limit

In the summer of 2015, something caught my eye forever.

I was at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida. I’ve been to resorts before but this catch was captivating indeed.

Most resorts are spread out and have roads so that we can drive to the amenities that are further away.

This resort had speed limit signs stating that the maximum speed limit on their roads was 19mph.

Not 15, 20, or 25.

Not a round 20 but a specific 19.

And I still remember that vividly. Those signs clearly got through to me and many others because not one person was speeding on those roads.

Five years later, I’m relaying the brilliance of that resort because they chose 19 over 20.

The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail.

  1. Is attention to detail a cornerstone of your marketing?
  2. What are some examples of attention to detail that have caught your eye?
  3. Will your prospects and clients say the same about your online and offline presence?
