Yesterday was International Women’s Day.
And that’s when I saw this gem of a pic, which made me think – if this isn’t a great symbolism of International Women’s Day, then what is?
Because it is:
- International – Polish women thinking across the border, and about Ukrainian women and what would go on in their minds.
- Women’s – This effort was truly by women, and for women. If my family had to flee for our lives, I know my wife will think about the stroller (even if we can’t take it), before I will.
- Day – It didn’t just make my day, but reminded me that though the sorrow may last through the night, joy comes in the morning and that a new day will soon be here.
The Polish women knew their peers on the other side of the border, and the problem they’d face when they cross over.
That’s why they were able to give them a welcome present that was priceless.

Thank you women, because though we have taken away a lot from you, yet you always continue to give.
