Heart-changing marketing

What change is your marketing fighting for?
This month, Ksenia Ovchinnikova, an orthodox Christian from Omsk, Russia, has reportedly sued McDonald’s.
Her complaint is that the McDonald’s ad featuring cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets caused her to break her fast during Lent.
According to the lawsuit, Ksenia had been abstaining from eating meat for a month when the enticing McDonald’s ad made her give in.
“When I saw an advertising banner, I could not help myself. I visited McDonald’s and bought a cheeseburger,” said Ksenia, who accused the fast-food chain of breaking consumer protection law and insulting her religious feelings.
That said, she’s suing McDonald’s for only $14 (1,000 rubles) as compensation for sustained moral damage.
Real marketing happens when we’re able to fight against the status quo mentality in the prospects’ minds, convince them about the benefits of the offering, and eventually compel them to take action.
