When I saw the movies White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen, I assumed that breaching the White House was close to impossible. 

I thought it would take months of planning by elite forces to penetrate the oldest chambers of democracy.

And then yesterday happened!

Watching hundreds of protesters storm Capitol Hill was getting more unbelievable by the minute.

And then I saw Seth Godin’s purple cow – a topless protester dressed as a bison who made all other protesters disappear from my vision.

His attitude and attire made him the focus of millions of views, posts, and tweets.

He stole the limelight for a bit on a rare day when American politics was supposed to be the cynosure of all eyes.

Yesterday was a stain on American democracy and a day that will live in infamy. 

But it also proved that even in a disaster or tragedy, our eyes are always attracted by the purple cow – the one that we never expected to be there.
