Out of character

Yes, I confess that I’m a Nazi.
Thankfully, it’s the acceptable kind – the Grammar Nazi.
I once caught an error in a draft email that had an extra space between two words.
My teammate agreed it was an error but asked, “Why is it such a big deal?”
“Would it be an issue if there were two spaces instead of one?” I asked.
“Maybe,” came the reply.
“What if there were five spaces?” I asked again.
“Of course, because it can be clearly seen,” was the answer.
What’s right and wrong shouldn’t be based on whether it’s visible or not. We shouldn’t do things right because they’d be seen. We shouldn’t ignore errors just because they’re not seen.
If we get these principles right in life, we can get them right in marketing, too.
The apparent error here is the extra space between two words. The real error is that we nearly tolerated mediocrity.
How we value every character in our messaging will message to others the value of our character.

Keep the Grammar Nazis at bay by proofreading your content at least TWICE!
