Newton’s 3 laws of marketing
Tue, Oct 04, 2022
If marketing was a known concept in the 1700s, Newton’s 3 laws of marketing may have looked like this;
1. Every prospect moves in an uninterested straight line unless acted upon by a marketing force.
People are busy with their lives and have no need to discover a new brand.
2. The interest of a prospect is directly proportional to the net marketing force exerted and inversely proportional to the prospect’s inertia.
Peoples’ interest depends on your marketing, as well as their reluctance to change.
3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
For every marketing action you take, there are equal and opposite actions taken by direct competitors and competing market forces.
Real marketing fights a 2-dimensional battle:
1. It fights the gravitational pull of prospects to remain in their orbit
2. It fights the attractional pull of forces that tend to draw your prospects away

Which law of marketing do you think Newton would have written? I’d love to know!
