A December to remember
Tue, Dec 08, 2020
Ever since I was a teenager, Aunt Susan would send me a birthday card every year without fail.
Even though my birthday fell on February 19, I would get the card in the first week of February itself.
In fact, I’d normally realize it was February when her card reached home.
When my wife and I got married on a Christmas morning, I knew there would be a new card heading home in the first week of every December.
For a whole decade, we’ve been getting two cards – an anniversary card and a Christmas card – for the same day!
So yesterday my wife was right to suddenly inquire, “Is Aunt Susan alright?”
“Should be, I spoke to her just last week. Why?”
“Well, it’s already December 7 and we haven’t gotten her cards yet.”
If you suddenly stopped showing up tomorrow onward, would people notice?

Few focus on ensuring that their brands are missed even and especially when unseen.

P.S. My aunt is fine. She forgot to buy the anniversary card and was waiting to send both cards together.
