Early Easter

This year Easter falls on April 04.

As usual, many brands are going to lose out because they wait till the Holy Week to start engaging with their audience.

The date for Easter 2021 was fixed decades ago. The law of supply and demand is also etched in stone.

We know that the Holy Week will be filled with Easter messages from all kinds of brands and churches. Yet, we wait till mid-March to start messaging about Easter.

What’s stopping us from getting started a bit early?

Instead of striving to have one of the best messages that break through the clutter of Easter euphoria in March, you could be the only one talking about Easter in February.

Instead of rushing people about Easter in the preceding week, you could start engaging them a few weeks in advance when they aren’t busy.

This change in approach also gives you the advantage of:

  1. Being the prime mover at the start of a new year (and season)
  2. Getting people to hear more of your Easter message than others’
  3. More time to make tweaks based on user engagement
  4. Setting a tone and benchmark for your peers

Takeaway

Don’t be the best. Be the only!

Let me know if you plan to be an early bird this Easter.

You don’t want to be the best at what you do, you want to be the only one.
