Since 2015, 40 Parables has been a strategic MarTech firm that has helped many Christian ministries share their stories better.
In 2022, one of our pivots created our first product, Bleat, an assessment platform for the missional world. Thousands of ministry and church leaders are now using assessments built by Bleat. Our hands are full, and that’s why we need your help to perfect this pivot.

Bleat? Yes, that’s our product’s name, and the dictionary defines it as the wavering cry of a sheep. That’s why it is also the name of our assessment platform, as it helps churches evaluate themselves and know their congregations better by listening to the voices of their sheep.

That’s why we are looking for an experienced UI Designer (Specialist) to take charge of the user interface design across our suite of products.

Interesting! But as a UI Designer (Specialist), what exactly will I be doing every weekday?
As a UI Designer (Specialist), you would:
1. Establish and manage the design direction and strategy for the organization, and build scalable processes for design operations.
2. Create and maintain robust design systems from scratch to ensure consistency and scalability across all products.
3. Lead the end-to-end design process—from discovery to delivery—including user research, wire-framing, prototyping, and user testing.
4. Communicate design solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders, handling feedback and aligning deliverables to their needs.
5. Partner closely with product managers, developers, copywriters, and QA engineers to ensure alignment between business goals and design direction.
6. Provide detailed and actionable instructions to the developers for smooth design implementation.
7. Guide, mentor, and train junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and techniques to push the boundaries of innovation.

2. Proficiency in Figma. Familiarity with other design and prototyping tools is a plus.
3. Proven ability to create polished, visually compelling user interfaces.
4. Proven experience building and maintaining design systems from scratch.
5. An enterprising approach to identifying and solving design challenges.
