Terms & conditions

Every time I buy a product, I lie to the seller.

Just before I make the final purchase, I check the box that says, “I agree to the terms and conditions.”

Forget agreeing, I don’t even read them!

Some brands leverage and lose out on this aspect of the sale.

They stick in harmful clauses and later say they’re not responsible because the customer agreed to these terms.

They make one sale but lose the customer for life.

Other brands leverage it and tell their customers that they’re willing to work with the customer and find a solution.

The best brands, however, make the terms and conditions easy and enjoyable to read and agree.

Brands are often missing out by making this a boring aspect of the purchase that no one wants to spend 5 seconds on.

Instead, this could be a great content experience for the brand if it’s explained visually with the offer to clarify at any point and help the customer understand and agree.

Takeaway

Flip the boring terms and conditions into an enjoyable experience for customers to bond better with you.

When was the last time you read the terms and conditions before accepting them? Leave an honest comment here!

When you pay attention to boredom it gets unbelievably interesting.
