I used to hate bad drivers or those who don’t pay attention when they drive.
In my mind, I’d swear at them. When I overtook them, I’d glare at them.
Then one day it hit me when I got honked at for slowing down unnecessarily.
I used to get irritated when others made one mistake.
But when I made one, I wondered why the other driver couldn’t give me a break because it was a rare error.
So would I swear and glare at myself if I made that one mistake?
Was I actually getting angry at myself or others like me?
From that day, God started helping me to be patient behind the wheel.
The golden rule states, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
Does that principle apply when we communicate?
Can we create targeted and intentional content as we’d like delivered to us?
Can we reach out relevantly as we’d like others to reach us?
What you seek for others, you find for yourself.
